SlydeForge doesn't use AI just to "have AI": every capability exists to solve a real problem of reliability, time, or quality — never to replace your judgment.
Three non-negotiable principles
Grounded in your real data
The AI never invents a figure. Your source files (Excel, PDF, Word, PowerPoint) are extracted and provided as context — the presentation cites your data, not plausible-sounding estimates.
Never a black box
Every process shows its current phase, a timer, and a detailed stream you can inspect. Every change goes through an explicit before/after preview before being applied.
Bounded, never an infinite loop
Self-verification and self-critique are capped (one retry, maximum). No AI mechanism can spiral out of control — an explicit budget is always respected.
What the AI actually does for you
Generation from your files
An Excel KPI report, a PDF, a Word summary: the AI extracts the figures and indicators, plans a structure, then generates each slide citing the exact values and highlighting the follow-up actions.
Automatic visual review
After generation, a dedicated vision call reviews every slide to spot readability or contrast issues, then applies a targeted fix. The fix is honestly re-verified: SlydeForge only says "fixed" when it truly is, and says so clearly otherwise.
Minimal-patch editing
A plain-language request becomes a targeted JSON patch (RFC 6902), never an uncontrolled full regeneration. A bounded self-check repairs incomplete patches before showing them to you.
Brand theme extraction
From a logo, an existing corporate PowerPoint, or plain screenshots, the AI proposes a complete theme: palette, fonts, sizes, visuals classified as images or icons, and suggested slide types.
Writing assistance
Real spelling errors detected while you type — not style suggestions — designed to help without ever interrupting, built after listening to feedback related to dyslexia.
Synced notes and narration
Presenter notes are suggested with awareness of the slide's actual number of animation steps, with markers that sync voice narration to animation during playback.
Layout suggestions
A dedicated command proposes layout, color and sizing adjustments in three steps, always offered before being applied.
A feedback loop that genuinely shapes the product
After every AI action, a simple 👍/👎 (with an optional comment) feeds an automatic summary you can review inside the app. This isn't silent telemetry: it's the mechanism that has concretely driven nearly every improvement to SlydeForge.

Device Flow sign-in, recommended for enterprises already equipped with it.

A simple personal access token (PAT), for a quick start.
OpenAI-compatible API
Azure OpenAI, a local Ollama, or any internal endpoint — your data never leaves your perimeter if you choose so.
